Siv Iren Misund

Norwegian mezzo-soprano Siv Misund holds a Master of music in Performing arts from The Norwegian Academy of Music and will during the coming season premier the roles of Flosshilde (Das Rheingold) with LidalNorth, Dinah (Trouble in Tahiti) with Oslo Opera festival and create the role of Birgit for the world premier of KibergOdysseen for NOSO and Festspillene i Nord Norge. Ms Misund was a recipient of the Ellen Kirby-Smith Rice Scholarship at the CoOPERAtive young artist program in 2010 (Princeton, US) where she worked with coaches such as A. Manoly, S. Ashbaker and D. Birnbaum. In 2011 she was a price winner of the KammerOper Schloss Rheinsberg (Germany), where she performed the role of Nutrice (L’incoronatione de Poppea) to great critical acclaim.
