Open Oh Concert: Tanz Suite, Sz.77 Bartók (+3 More)

A Zempléni Fesztivál nyitókoncertjén az idén magyar műsorral készül a Budafoki Dohnányi Zenekar, ahol büszkén játssza két magyar – a BDZ kötelékébe tartozó – kortárs zeneszerző művét.

Gyöngyösi Leventétől, a BDZ rezidens zeneszerzőjétől az I. szimfóniája első, Szerelem című tétele hangzik el, mely egy boldog szerelem örömét és apróbb árnyait jeleníti meg a szerzőtől megszokott élvezetes és közérthető nyelvezeten.

Szüts Apor zongoraművész és zeneszerző szintén a BDZ tagja, műve egy francia népdalra épül, mely Magyarországon ’Pál, Kata, Péter’ szöveggel ismert. A mű pazar, játékos variációsorozat zongorára és zenekarra.

A hangverseny második felében a magyar zenetörténet két kiemelkedő alkotása szólal meg. Bartók Béla éppen száz éve született táncszvitje az első, amely a Kárpát-medencében élők összetartozását igyekszik bemutatni.

Kodály Galántai táncok című műve egy különleges előadás lesz, amelyben a zenekar tagjaiból alakult ‚népi zenekar’ a zenemű alapjául szolgáló eredeti népzenét is megszólaltatja.

At the opening concert of the Zemplén Festival, the Budafoki Dohnányi Orchestra is preparing this year's Hungarian program, where it will proudly play the works of two contemporary Hungarian composers - members of the BDZ.

Levente Gyöngyösi, BDZ's composer-in-residence, will perform the first movement of his Symphony No. 1, Szerelem, which depicts the joy and nuances of a happy love in the author's usual enjoyable and understandable language.

Pianist and composer Apor Szüts is also a member of BDZ, his work is based on a French folk song, known in Hungary as 'Pál, Kata, Péter'. The work is a sumptuous, playful series of variations for piano and orchestra.

In the second half of the concert, two outstanding works of Hungarian music history will be performed. Béla Bartók's dance suite, born just a hundred years ago, is the first to show the togetherness of people living in the Carpathian Basin.

Kodály's Galántai dances will be a special performance, in which the ‚folk band' formed from members of the orchestra will also play the original folk music that forms the basis of the piece.
