On the 200th anniversary of the birth of composer Emilio Arrieta, Fundación Baluarte opens its season with his best-known opera: Marina . Initially conceived as a zarzuela, it was transformed into an opera sixteen years later and Emilio Arrieta received, on the day of its premiere, one of the biggest ovations of his entire career. Marina , which was the first opera performed on the Baluarte stage, arrives on this occasion with a cast led by Andrea Jiménez and José Luis Sola from Navarra in the leading roles, and in which Borja Quiza and Pablo Ruiz will also participate. The Navarra Symphony Orchestra, the AGAO Lyric Choir and the Orfeón Pamplonés complete the exceptional cast of this opera in concert version. The direction will be in charge of José Miguel Pérez-Sierra.
