24 unge dirigenter fra hele verden. Et tændt symfoniorkester. Og en fornem international jury med chefdirigent Fabio Luisi i spidsen. Det er hovedingredienserne i DR Symfoniorkestrets internationale Malko Konkurrence, som i en hel uge fylder DR Koncerthuset med spænding og masser af musik.

Malko Konkurrencen er en af verdens førende musikkonkurrencer, som tiltrækker de allerbedste unge dirigenter. Flere af dem har allerede en imponerende karriere, men vælger alligevel at stille op i konkurrencen for at få det endelige, internationale gennembrud.

Som publikum kan du følge hele Malko Konkurrencen i Koncertsalen – fra de indledende runder til den spændende finalekoncert, hvor en af de tre finalister får den eftertragtede titel som Malko-vinder 2021.

I denne 3. runde skal de seks dirigenter, der er tilbage i konkurrencen, på dirigentpodiet i to omgange med uddrag af følgende værker:

Ravel: La valse
Debussy: La Mer, 1. sats
Bartók: Koncert for orkester, 1. sats
Nielsen: Koncert for fløjte og orkester, 1. sats

The DR Symphony Orchestra's international Malko Competition once again fills the DR Koncerthuset with excitement and lots of music. In the 3rd round, the field of candidates is halved again, and the 6 selected conductors are ready to compete for a place in the final with music by, among others, Ravel and Debussy.

24 young conductors from all over the world. A lit symphony orchestra. And a distinguished international jury headed by chief conductor Fabio Luisi. These are the main ingredients in the DR Symphony Orchestra's international Malko Competition, which for a whole week fills the DR Koncerthuset with excitement and lots of music.

The Malko Competition is one of the world's leading music competitions, which attracts the very best young conductors. Several of them already have an impressive career, but still choose to enter the competition in order to get the final, international breakthrough.

As an audience, you can follow the entire Malko Competition in the Concert Hall - from the preliminary rounds to the exciting final concert, where one of the three finalists will be awarded the coveted title of Malko winner 2021.

In this 3rd round, the six conductors remaining in the competition will take to the conductor's podium in two rounds with excerpts from the following works:

Ravel: La valse
Debussy: La Mer, 1st movement
Bartók: Concerto for orchestra, 1st movement
Nielsen: Concerto for flute and orchestra, 1st movement
