It is the most popular and most-performed German opera of all: Mozart's “Magic Flute”. Written in 1791, the year the composer died, this stage work compensates for a cosmos of human strengths and weaknesses in a highly poetic form. It makes children's eyes light up when they are fairytale-like, but also makes cool analysts wonder about the deeper philosophical meaning. Torn between two opposing powers, people fight for their right to love and humanity. The fact that Mozart does not paint black and white, but allows each figure to have pros and cons, makes the matter so realistic, but also enormously complicated. The realm of the highly emotional Queen of the Night and the serene Sarastro are irreconcilable; Apparently mediating, Tamino and Pamina try to give their affection a space. And then the birdcatcher Papageno, with his very earthly views, properly sparks into the events of noble intentions.

Answer or suggestion for further thinking lies in the hands of the Romanian director Silviu Purcarete, who enjoys worldwide recognition, especially in the field of film.
