American mezzo-soprano Jennifer Feinstein returns for her third season in the Ensemble of the Badisches Staatstheater Karlsruhe for the 2020-2021 season, where she will revive the roles of Donna Elvira in Don Giovanni and Sara in Roberto Devereux in addition to role debuts as Berta in Barber of Seville, and a series of Verdi arias in concert, “Verdi’s Cosmos.Mezzo-soprano Jennifer Feinstein has been likened by the Los Angeles Times to "a young Horne, so rich is her mezzo and so full of spark was she on stage.” Opera News recently called her Donna Elvira “a comic delight.” In 2018 she was a nominee for the Österreichischer Musiktheaterpreis award for Best Female Singer in a Lead Role, for her performance as Laura in La Gioconda with Tiroler Landestheater.
