Alexandra Büchel

Swedish soprano Alexandra Büchel comes from Stockholm and received her education at University College of Opera in Stockholm, with professor Dorothy Irving and Jeffrey Goldberg. Lauded for her sky-high, crystal-clear notes combined with a rich and warm middle range and vivid acting, she has rapidly established herself as a leading performer of modern and contemporary music, which has led her to collaborations with composers, orchestras and opera houses in Sweden and abroad. In 2017 she received the prestigious Birgit Nilsson award and made a critically acclaimed performance as the Blind Poetess in Blomdahl’s Aniara at Malmö Opera.
