Harpagon, for whom all means of fighting death are good, avidly seeks what seems eternal to him - money - and what can breathe new life into him, the youth of Marianne ... We say to ourselves that this is an intelligent staging, which does not overly appeal to the vain pleasures of "proofreading", without however depriving itself, here or there, of clever winks to the taste of the day. Benoin follows the classic deal, without adoring him with too many annoying little finds.
