Three great names in Catalan culture such as Antoni Tàpies, Xavier Montsalvatge and Victoria de los Ángeles are in this recital celebrating the centenaries of Tàpies and Victoria de los Ángeles, born on November 1 and December 13, 1923. The painter and the soprano formed a good friendship, coinciding especially during the long stays of these two artists in New York, a city that left a deep impression on both of them. Victoria, in addition, acquired several works by the painter that she had in her home and, for this reason, in 2007 when the Foundation that bears her name was created, the logo was commissioned from Antoni Tàpies who created a work expressly for the occasion. Tres grandes nombres de la cultura catalana como son Antoni Tàpies, Xavier Montsalvatge y Victoria de los Ángeles se encuentran en este recital que celebra los centenarios de Tàpies y Victoria de los Ángeles, nacidos el 1 de noviembre y el 13 de diciembre de 1923. Al pintor y a la soprano los unió una buena amistad, coincidiendo sobre todo durante las largas estancias de estos dos artistas en Nueva York, ciudad que los marcó mucho a los dos. Victoria, además, adquirió varias obras del pintor que tenía en su casa y, es por eso, que en 2007 cuando se creó la Fundación que lleva su nombre, se encargó el logotipo a Antoni Tàpies que creó una obra expresamente para la ocasión. El Quinteto de vientos SenArts, ganadores del Premio Xavier Montsalvatge en el Concurso Internacional de Música de Les Corts, ofrece este recital en diálogo con la pintura de Tàpies y junto con una de las artistas residentes de este año cómo es Natalia Labourdette.
