À travers Pierre et le loup, Sergueï Prokofiev s’adresse directement aux enfants en leur faisant découvrir les instruments de l’orchestre. Une œuvre pédagogique qui met en avant l’intelligence de la jeune génération. Quelques notes de violons suffisent à nous replonger en enfance. Lorsque l’on entend Pierre et le loup de Sergueï Prokofiev - et plus particulièrement le thème principal de Pierre, difficile de ne pas s’imaginer l’enfant désobéissant qui gambade dans la forêt. En 1936, Prokofiev exécute un chef d’œuvre musical et pédagogique.

L’Orchestre Philharmonique de Nice propose une nouvelle interprétation de ce célèbre conte. C’est la cheffe d’orchestre Alexandra Cravero qui assurera la direction de l’orchestre et tissera la trame musicale du récit. Chaque personnage de Pierre et le loup est représenté par un groupe d’instruments (cordes, cuivres ou bois) et par un thème qui lui est propre à l’instar de Pierre, l’oiseau, le chat, le grand-père, le canard, les chasseurs et le loup pour une magnifique initiation à la musique classique.

In Peter and the Wolf, Sergei Prokofiev speaks directly to children, introducing them to the instruments of the orchestra. An educational work that highlights the intelligence of the younger generation. A few violin notes are enough to take us back to childhood. When you hear Sergei Prokofiev's Peter and the Wolf - and especially Peter's main theme - it's hard not to imagine the disobedient child frolicking in the forest. In 1936, Prokofiev performed a musical and educational masterpiece.

The Orchestre Philharmonique of Nice offers a new interpretation of this famous tale. Conductor Alexandra Cravero will lead the orchestra and weave the musical fabric of the story. Each character in Peter and the Wolf is represented by a group of instruments (strings, brass or woodwinds) and a theme of their own: Peter, the bird, the cat, the grandfather, the duck, the hunters and the wolf, for a magnificent introduction to classical music.
