True to tradition, Skalborg Church offers the festival's most bubbly contribution, which this year is served with arias and duets between the sopranos Charlotte Hjørringgaard Larsen and Marianne Mailund Heuer.

Charlotte and Marianne have been best colleagues since their student days and can probably best be described as a kind of musical sisters. Sisters are also Dorabella and Fiordiligi in WA Mozart's mad and brilliant opera Cosí fan tutte, and the audience can also enjoy sweet sounds in hits such as the Flower Duet from Délibes' opera Lakmé and a few operetta greetings from Charlotte's time in Vienna.

Both Charlotte and Marianne were born and raised in North Jutland and are both sought-after soloists and professional chorus singers. Marianne is employed in Danmarks Radio's KoncertKor in Copenhagen, who sings with the DR Symphony Orchestra. Charlotte has just returned home to Denmark after a long stay in Vienna, where she has worked as a singer in, among other things, the cathedral Stephansdom.

The concert is accompanied by the church's organist Eva-Marie Kjæhr, and during the break a glass of bubbles is served.

Traditionen tro byder Skalborg Kirke på festivalens mest boblende bidrag, som i år serveres med arier og duetter imellem sopranerne Charlotte Hjørringgaard Larsen og Marianne Mailund Heuer.

Charlotte og Marianne har været bedste kolleger siden studietiden og kan nok bedst betegnes som en slags musikalske søstre. Søstre er også Dorabella og Fiordiligi i W. A. Mozarts gale og geniale opera Cosí fan tutte, og publikum kan også nyde sødmefulde klange i hits som Blomsterduetten fra Délibes’ opera Lakmé og et par operettehilsner fra Charlottes tid i Wien.

Både Charlotte og Marianne er født og opvokset i Nordjylland og er begge efterspurgte solister og professionelle korsangere. Marianne er ansat i Danmarks Radios KoncertKor i København, som synger med DR Symfoniorkesteret. Charlotte er netop vendt hjem til Danmark efter et længere ophold i Wien, hvor hun har arbejdet som sanger i blandt andet domkirken Stephansdom.

Koncerten akkompagneres af kirkens organist Eva-Marie Kjæhr, og i pausen serveres et glas bobler.
