La Dirección de Artes y Cultura y la Sede Villarrica de la Universidad Católica han organizado una gira en el sur del país de la Orquesta Interfacultades UC, la cual cerrará en Santiago. Con la dirección del profesor del Instituto de Música UC Eduardo Jahnke, se abordarán selecciones del oratorio El Mesías de Georg Friedrich Haendel. Actuarán como solistas dos cantantes egresadas del Instituto de Música UC; la soprano Marisol Vega y la mezzosoprano Javiera Lara, además del tenor Gonzalo Quinchahual y el bajo Maximiliano Bustíos.

Además de los estudiantes de distintas carreras de la UC que conforman esta orquesta, se presentarán distintos coros locales en los diferentes conciertos, a través de alianzas con las universidades Católica de Temuco y Austral.

En los tres primeros conciertos, la Orquesta Interfacultades UC actuará junto al Coro de la Universidad Católica de Temuco. Las presentaciones se realizarán el jueves 8,  el viernes 9 y el sábado 10 de diciembre, a las 20 horas, en el gimnasio del Campus Villarrica UC, en el Aula Magna de la UCT en  Temuco y en el Aula Magna de la Universidad Austral, en Valdivia.

Luego, se sumará el Coro Voces Lacustres de Puerto Varas a la Orquesta Interfacultades UC, en un concierto que se efectuará a las 13 horas del domingo 11 de diciembre en la Catedral de Puerto Montt.

También habrá dos conciertos en Santiago. La Orquesta Interfacultades UC se presentará junto a los coros Ingeniería UC, Alumni UC y Funcionarios UC, sumándoseles también un conjunto vocal estudiantil de la Universidad de Santiago de Chile. El primer concierto en esta conformación será el sábado 17 de diciembre a las 20 horas en el Centro de Extensión UC (Alameda 390), ocasión en la cual se conmemorará el centésimo trigésimo aniversario de la fundación de la Escuela de Ingeniería UC.

La última presentación será a las 13 horas del domingo 18 de diciembre, en la Catedral de Santiago. Todas tendrán acceso liberado.

The Directorate of Arts and Culture and the Villarrica Headquarters of the Catholic University have organized a tour in the south of the country of the UC Interfaculties Orchestra, which will close in Santiago. With the direction of the professor of the UC Music Institute Eduardo Jahnke, selections from the oratorio El Mesías by Georg Friedrich Handel will be addressed. Two singers graduated from the UC Institute of Music will perform as soloists; soprano Marisol Vega and mezzo-soprano Javiera Lara, as well as tenor Gonzalo Quinchahual and bass Maximiliano Bustíos.

In addition to the students from different UC majors that make up this orchestra, different local choirs will perform at the different concerts, through alliances with the Catholic University of Temuco and Austral.

In the first three concerts, the UC Interfaculties Orchestra will perform together with the Choir of the Catholic University of Temuco. The presentations will take place on Thursday 8, Friday 9 and Saturday 10 December, at 8:00 p.m., in the gym of the Campus Villarrica UC, in the Aula Magna of the UCT in Temuco and in the Aula Magna of the Austral University, in Valdivia.

Then, the Voces Lacustres Choir of Puerto Varas will join the UC Interfaculties Orchestra, in a concert that will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 11, at the Cathedral of Puerto Montt.

There will also be two concerts in Santiago. The UC Interfaculties Orchestra will perform together with the UC Engineering, UC Alumni and UC Officials choirs, as well as a student vocal group from the University of Santiago de Chile. The first concert in this configuration will be on Saturday, December 17 at 8:00 p.m. at the UC Extension Center (Alameda 390), the occasion in which the one hundred and thirtieth anniversary of the founding of the UC School of Engineering will be commemorated.

The last presentation will be at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 18, at the Cathedral of Santiago. All will have free access.
