Ah, if books could be eaten! Through the story of a little boy who crunches the words with full teeth, Sylvain Maurice and Laurent Cuniot put on a moving opera for young audiences on the powers of reading.
Henri is not quite a child like the others. As soon as he finds himself alone at home, he spends most of his time devouring – literally – each of the books in his library! Until you get sick. Because by taking too much refuge in an imaginary world, we forget to open up to others.
A sublime voice, 3 instrumentalists, dreams projected onto a blank page… A marvelous introduction to opera, from an early age. Inspired by Oliver Jeffers' formidable youth tale, L'Enfant Inouï takes us into a burlesque and facetious universe, which speaks with simplicity of the feelings and desires so particular to childhood. Cradled by the caressing tone of opera singer Raphaële Kennedy, young and old are invited to discover opera from a child's perspective.

Ah, si les livres pouvaient se manger ! À travers l’histoire d’un petit garçon qui croque les mots à pleines dents, Sylvain Maurice et Laurent Cuniot montent un opéra jeune public bouleversant sur les pouvoirs de la lecture.
Henri n’est pas tout à fait un enfant comme les autres. Dès qu’il se retrouve seul à la maison, il passe le plus clair de son temps à dévorer — littéralement — chacun des livres de sa bibliothèque !
