This direction is a game of imagination and evocation. The spaces of history are always evoked, never represented. The possibility of evoking the presence of something on the stage is one of the fascinating aspects of the theater. So I tried to use normal and simple objects and make them become the only ingredient of the scenography. The result is that I found myself with a stage where twenty red chairs, a blue staircase, umbrellas and some huge balloons were all that was needed. The characters have exploded in their physical and caricatured characteristics. Therefore, here are some fantastic costumes, of pure imagination, with marked references to animalistic features, almost from a Commedia dell'Arte. The overture begins with a journey by train. A journey that seems to start in a normal way, without any unexpected events, but at a certain point the rhythm of the train begins to grow, grows, takes off and all the quiet passengers are involuntarily catapulted into the work, becoming the protagonists of this surreal dimension. The leitmotif of the journey constitutes the narrative frame within which the libretto of the opera breathes, animated by scenic inventions that touch a circus dimension and where everything that happens is supported by a choreographic vision of relationships ".
