Christmas Concert - Madrigal Choir and children's choirs from the Cantus Mundi National Program
On December 7, 8 and 10, at the Romanian Athenaeum, starting at 19:00, the "Madrigal - Marin Constantin" National Chamber Choir and the children from the Cantus Mundi National Program will hold a series of concerts announcing the approaching of the Holy Christmas.

Through a tradition sustained for over 56 years, the choral ensemble brings year after year the emotion and joy of Christmas, through the perfect interpretation, but also through the chosen repertoire. The Program of the Christmas concert will contain remarkable music from the international repertoire, specific to the celebration of the Christmas, but also traditional Romanian works.
Since 2014, the Madrigal Choir has been led by Anna Ungureanu, a disciple and continuator of the legendary musician - the Maestro Marin Constantin. Since 2016, the second conductor of the Madrigal Choir is Cezar Verlan.

The Cantus Mundi National Program is the largest social integration program through music in Romania, initiated by the reputed conductor Ion Marin and carried out with the involvement of the members of the "Madrigal - Marin Constantin" National Chamber Choir. After 8 years of activity, the Cantus Mundi National Program has gathered over 13400 choirs under its umbrella. Over 48,000 children, along with their coordinators, participate in the promotion of the choral singing throughout the country, overcoming barriers related to ethnicity, social condition and physical or mental capacities. Now they are building complex cultural communities, so necessary for the revitalization of our society.
